How to Find an Angel Investor?
So recently I was thinking about taking my online business to a whole new level and begin my search for an Angel Investor. Angel investors invest their own cash into your project/s and in return they are looking for a share in your business or some sort of ROI.
Finding an Angel is not easy, they are very picky and want to see and know everything about your project before they put their money into you and your idea. Below we have listed 4 ways to Find an Angel Investor, hopefully one of them helps you out!
Four ways to Finding an Angel Investor.
1. An Angel Investor You May Know:
Angel Investors come in many different forms, they could be your boss, a family member or even a neighbor. It may be risky to use someone you know especially if you plan doesn’t work, you don’t want to damage those relationships. On the other hand you could the idea of the century and make you’s all rich.
2. An Angel Investor Online:
Recently there has been a number of websites started to bring investors and entrepreneurs together. I just joined AustralianInvestmentNetwork.com (because I live in Australia) to find an Angel Investor. It’s good so far but I have not submitted a pitch yet plus you have to pay $199 when one of them is interested you.
There are many more websites like this one out there and if you do a Google search you’ll be able to find one in your country or local area. Most of them charge, so if you find one that is 100% free, drop the link in the comment box.
3. Find An Angel Investor at a Conference:
There are big conferences being run by large organizations to help Angels and Entrepreneurs find each other. This is one of the best ways to find an Angel because you will be there ready and waiting and they(Angel Investors) will be there with their wallets specifically looking for an opportunity, maybe yours?
4. Cold Call/Visit an Angel Investor:
If the three options above don’t work for you, you can get creative and start cold calling business owners, (don’t call random civilians they might think your crazy
business owner have one thing you don’t, MONEY and they are usually looking for the next best thing or something that may make them more money.
Cold call, set an appointment, then show the plan.
Alternatively you can visit local business and try to setup appointments with business owners, this gives you private face to face time with the potential investor so you can go over everything you plan to do.
If you know another way to help people Find an Angel Investor, please leave a comment.

So it will normally cost 200 bucks for an Angel that is just interested?? Or does the 200 bucks seal the deal? What would be an example of a good pitch? I don’t want to sound like a totally nube when i talk to these guys..
re:200 bucks for an Angel??;
Im not quite sure, Im still getting my plan ready.
“”What would be an example of a good pitch?”"
It all depends on your business model. I’d just state a few facts and add future ROI projections.
Right now I’m focusing on my plan, making a pitch is easier when you know
how, where, when, why & what you are going to build and sell to make profits from.
It’s the plan you show an Angel Investor after the pitch that will make them buy into you.
