Name.com is Now Charging for Private Whois!
Well I can’t say that I am totally happy about this!
Name.com has decided to scrap their free Private Whois for domain registrations and are now charging $1.99 when you register and $7.99 for every year after that.
If you have old domains with them, they should be covered and will keep receiving free private whois. If you think about it, they’re still cheaper than most domain name providers and do run a tight service.
Now because their nice, they have created a Promo Code (which I wish I found last night, :/) so you don’t have to pay for the Private WhoIs…

Another drawback is the use of free domains, you will probably end up with a domain, domain name would only be a subdomain of the actual place.
