Dot info Domain Names are Good and Do Make Money!
I have no idea why people put less of a value on .info domain names. They’re good for information sites, they’re cheap to purchase and you could get a really good brandable .info domain.
When you buy a .info and start looking to get them in the search engines, you’ll find that the Search rankings are no different to a .com. What it really comes down to, is the back-links and content you put on that website.
I recently saw 14 .info sites for sale as a group, each site made $10.00+ a month and were all in the same niche. The guy who sold them (on flippa) only got $220.00 for the lot! I couldn’t believe it (and was totally shattered because I missed the auction and would have bid and brought them for at least $450.00.)
People didn’t bid because they were .info sites. The thing is, they were making money. The 10 .info websites were making over $100.00 a month combined and all on auto. All I can say is, the buyer got a great deal, but, the seller lost out. I have no idea why he sold so low, they were really good sites.
IMHO. What I am trying to say is, If you don’t have the money for a .com or you see a great .info website for sale, buy it, it’s just the same as a .com.

As a Newbie, I am constantly exploring online for articles that can benefit me. Thank you
I thought it was going to be some boring old post, but it really compensated for my time. I will post a link to this page on my blog. I am sure my visitors will find that very useful.
My friend referred me to your blog, so I thought I’d read it for myself. Very interesting material, will be back for more!
Wow..very good…Nice blog and well updated…
We hear so much about the great domains debate and I really believe in my experience that it doesn’t make that much difference. Its still a case of content is king.
The real plus for having a dot com is that people are used to searching for it, and therefore remember it easier.

That’s exactly what I think too. Thanks for commenting Andy.
A lot of people can’t get that amazing information! Everything you have written make a lot of sense! But it seems like not everyone cannot appreciate it! Sorry for them. Anyway, amazing job! Keep on writting stuff like this one – I would love to read more.
Best Wishes
Thanks Luigi.
sooo informative
Good work! Your post is an excellent example of why I keep coming back to read your excellent quality content that is forever updated. Thank you!
Can I make a suggestion? I believe youve obtained some thing excellent here. But what in case you added a couple links to a page that backs up what youre declaring? Or maybe you could give us something to appear at, one thing that would connect what youre declaring to something tangible? Just a suggestion.
It’s not hard to do a quick search on Google to see for yourself how .info domains rank. It doesn’t matter at all if its .net .co, .co.cc, .com, .us, .biz and so on. All that matters is the content on your site and how many backlinks you have.
If you’re trying to brand a product or domain then the .com or .net would be better, however, if you’re just wanting to make internet money then a .info will be fine.
I am so glad I saw this post! I am looking into transferring my blogger site to a wordpress site with a .info name. I too was worried about the value, but I’m gonna go for it!!
Yeah why not! I have many .info domains, their my niche sites so I wont display the urls. However last night while doing some blog commenting of my own I came across a site that is a PR3 .info site. Here it is http://softhay.info they need to fix their theme though.
nice. i need suggestions from webmasters like yourself to make my websites right. good info, well developed.
After reading your article am thinking to buy a .info domain but my heart says to go for a .com , cant decide which way to go.
If your heart says .com go with it. But, in the end its just a web address and in 2011 people are familiar with all types of url extensions. If you’re in this for affiliate $$$ it doesn’t really matter, what matters is the content you put on the new website.
Thanks for the info on .info! They certainly are a bargain.
They sure are
