When people need an answer, information, images, news and so forth, they turn to the Google Search Engine to find what they are looking for.
Getting into the search results for a domain name is easy, but getting ranked for the 1# search phrase is a bit harder.
Here are a few Dos and Don’t for SEO.
SEO Dos
1. The quality of words in a web page is the most important thing to think about if you want to grab the first position in a search results. The amount of words does not matter, it’s all about relevancy.
2. ‘Use Keywords Wisely’ Keywords are the most important part of SEO, because they are used to optimize the website. The best result depends on the use of keyword phrases through out the text.
Have your top keywords in your Domain, Titles, Page content and Meta tags.Create information for the people and give them everything they want.
3. Descriptions: Add a Good, keyword focused description for each web page in the Meta tags. Make sure the description you add goes with the content, also choose the appropriate keywords.
4. If you’re Blogging Add new posts and information frequently, add at least 3 related posts a week.
5. Deep linking: To help visitors, add a combination of the most important words on the main page of your website, once you’ve done that, link them to the inner pages of your website.
6. Online Directories: Google likes Directory links, remember to submit your website to as many “related” directories as possible.
SEO Don’ts.
1.Keyword Density: Your on page Keyword density should not be too low, if it is it will not get any attention from the search engines. On the other hand, if it is too high then the site can be dealt with severely by the search engines(you’ll get de-indexed).
2.Avoid sub directories for pages, if you have less number of pages.
3.If you have a company logo don’t allow it to occupy the greater part of the page.
4.Don’t use hidden text, hidden text is text camouflaged by html color. The text cannot be seen by the visitors but it can be detected by the search engine robots. End result? Banned from Search engines.

I have just started a small seo consultancy business and the steady income thing is not a major concern for me, as I have a lot of clients who pay in monthly installments. The one thing that I find hard is knowing when to stop work and when I can actually start it. I have a young family so time is a major issue for me.
